2GIS used its move to a new office to overcome the communication issues between different departments of the company. They were able to create an office that meets the needs of all employees.
“The main distinguishing feature is that the employees themselves designed the office. All the design-related tasks were solved by us. Interior planning, furniture arrangement, even purchasing the furniture in China — we did everything ourselves. Employees even came up with door plates with creative department names. All things said and done, it was a completely handmade office! Under one roof, with the help of creative clubs, contests and competitions, we managed to create a cohesive team and overcome the long-standing cultural differences between departments,” says Alexander Sysoev, founder and owner of 2GIS.
